The latest full-length release from the Los Angeles multidisciplinary art studio Arthur King , Unknown Movie Night (Jurassic Park) , is out now AKP Recordings . The album was recorded before a live audience in the backyard of Dangerbird Records alongside a screening of Spielberg’s 1993 classic Jurassic Park . The new live score captured that night is a compelling juxtaposition of wildly syncopated breakbeat action, pummeling industrial electronics, and airy tonal textures. The contributing musicians were Peter Walker (guitar and electronics), David Ralicke (horns), Denny Weston Jr. (drums), Shon Sullivan (keyboard), and Koool G Murder (bass and synthesizer). The live recordings were edited and mixed by Ralicke, whose sonic sculpting lends a dynamic cohesion to the tracks, matching the intense highs and lows of their original filmic inspiration.
