Gimmie That Beat

UK-based Nigerian Producer/DJ Teck-Zilla presents "Summer Zilla II" , the sequel to his 2018 summer-themed instrumental project of the same name. Inspired by his birth month which falls in the warmest season of the year, nostalgic memories of the 90s as a kid and crates of weird and somewhat recognizable sample flips, "Summer Zilla II" , continues where the first edition left off some 6 years ago. The 10-track body of work is a masterclass in lo-fi sampling techniques, engaging storytelling, culminating in the element of surprise as it progresses. Much like its predecessor,  "Summer Zilla II" , is anchored on genre-bending layered sample chops and dynamic arrangement threaded by the element of nostalgia and warmth. On his brand-new EP, Pre Summer Tape 89 , deejay/producer Teck-Zilla serves up the musical equivalent of comfort food for hip-hop heads. It’s a distinct nod toward the music of that year—think De La Soul ’s 3 Feet High and Rising , or EPMD ’s Unfinished Business —with a similar appreciation and fondness for the past.  Stream the EP below!!! B-Boy Zilla II is a return to form from deejay/producer Teck-Zilla , which serves as his first official instrumental release for 2019. Diamond Media 360 sends Sade sampled beat tape Son of Sade: An Ode by Montreal based producer Teck-Zilla . This near 20 minute jam blends the work of the singer with Teck's Boom bap production savvy. What's interesting to note is that like Sade , Teck-Zilla was born in Nigeria and spent time living in London, so it's no surprise that both of these artists' sounds can pair so well together. Son of Sade: An Ode is now available for free download.
