In a time when music seems to be lacking creativity and originality to our surprise comes an artist sent from the universe to remind us that creativity and orginality still exist.  The artist that I am speaking of is producer Myke Forte .  The Birmingham, UK producer has given us such gems as the Zodiak beat tape series, a series of beat tapes inspired by the astrological signs.  Enough talkin', check out Myke Forte 's favorite 5 and more. Some of the best shit in music drops in your lap through email or word of mouth such as one day last year I recieved an email from Oddisee ( Mello Music Group )  and it was a link to a beat tape EP called "First Step" by and up and coming producer named Maverick . After listening I automatically became a fan and began to follow Maverick 's musical endevors.  Since that time Maverick has worked on various projects such as Redistricting (Diamond District's In the Ruff Remixes) ,  Ghostface Beat Tape   and the Smooth Grooves Beat Tape .  So with that said,  Maverick lets you in on his favorite 5 an more. DJ Concept is a DJ & producer from Long Island, New York. He is the co-founder of The Bash Brothers DJ Crew along with DJ Mickey Knox . Concept is well known for his creative use of obscure samples in his mixtapes. He gained a loyal fanbase through his nationwide hip hop show, The Mix Chronicles , on Sirius Satellite Radio . He has been DJing for 15+ years and brings much hip hop knowledge to the table. You may be asking yourself "who in the hell is IV the Polymath ?"... He's a helluva producer that always bring that head nod ish.  Peep It,  IV the Polymath is a US-born instrumental musician & hip-hop producer with over a decade of musical experience.  After several well-received digital & cassette releases he's back at it with New vs. Old ; a unique blend of live instrumentation & hip-hop production.   Despite flying under the radar, IV has been steadily building a name for himself thru music licensing ( Mountain Dew Tour 2011 ), collaborations ( junclassic, Atari Blitzkrieg ), radio play ( XM Radio, WEFUNK Radio ), & charity work ( St. Jude Children's Hospital, Charity: Water ).
