PHONOPHAGE - Bakewell


Phonophage is a founding member and resident producer of the burgeoning Cincinnati hip-hop label Fort Ancient Records. Bakewell is a sonic exploration into the false equivalence of 'new' and 'improved.' Inspired by six Cincinnati locales, each track takes a step back in time, ultimately representing three years of Phonophage's residency in the city. Bakewell is a fully instrumental album with the exception of the lead single “Winter”, which features fellow Fort Ancient artist Blasé.
