News: Illect Recordings Signs Swiss Producer Soulseize


Indie Hip Hop marquee label, Illect Recordings, is excited to announce the signing of Swiss producer, Soulseize, to their ever-burgeoning roster of top tier talent.

After linking up with head honcho, Josh Niemyjski, in 2015, Soulseize has since plied his trade through producing a bunch of original tracks and remixes for the likes of Sivion, K.I.N.E.T.I.K., Cas Metah and James Gardin to name a few. His sound feels fresh and familiar at the same time. Whether he's painstakingly mining mountains of vinyl in search of elusive tones or tinkering with synths and sound effects, the music he composes is perpetually abundant with sensation and spurs you to action.

Soulseize says, "Bringing music to people is a lot of work and Illect has been releasing quality Hip Hop music for nearly two decades. I have been working with them for many years now and I always appreciated how they take care of my art with professionalism, caution and dedication. I am thankful for the trust Illect puts into my work and I am honoured to join their crew of talented musicians."

Expect brand new singles and an album from Soulseize dropping on Illect in 2020.

Producer Yoni Den shares the release "Not What I Call Bonk Wave Volume 001" by Bonk Knob Records . So the compilation was based around this idea of making music which is or isn’t bonk wave, and the whole thing is very vague, nobody knows what is bonk wave or what is not, so every artist just makes music! Bonk Knob Records - Not What I Call Bonk Wave - Volume 002 (Disc B)

A compilation of Electronic Music which is or is not #BonkWave only this time it's night time. I’m sure you remember the Bonk Wave compilation in August. It was fun stuff, people seemed to enjoy it, and a few musicians expressed interest in being involved on a second one, so Yoni Den setup an Open submission, with a simple brief “original music which is or is not bonkwave” and gave the project the subtitle “Bonkwave Nights” as a kind of suggestion of theme. The whole Bonk Wave thing originated on Mastodon , and that is where most of the posting and conversation is, but it does stretch out into a few other independent music communities like Lines and STBB Forever .
