L.U.C. & Rebel Babel Ensemble - Social Circustances


L.U.C. & Rebel Babel Ensemble is excited to present "Social Circustances", the instrumental version of their latest album, "Dialog II". "Social Circustances" highlights the incredible instrumentalism of the several dozen musicians that were brought together to make this album a reality over several years of creation. The new album is a genre-shifting collection of tracks that combines brass music, Hip-Hop, and features Jazz themes performed by iconic Polish Jazz musicians as Wojciech Staroniewicz, Irek Wojtczak,and Przemek Dyakowski. "Social Circustances" makes its mark as a unique transnational, transgenerational, and transgenre album, bringing together an impressive collection of musicians from all over the world.

Producer Yoni Den shares the release "Not What I Call Bonk Wave Volume 001" by Bonk Knob Records . So the compilation was based around this idea of making music which is or isn’t bonk wave, and the whole thing is very vague, nobody knows what is bonk wave or what is not, so every artist just makes music! Haha! It’s been a really fun project. The name of the compilation also pays homage to those old cheap pop compilations “Now That’s What I Call Music” , and the artwork is inspired by some of the early cover art from those, with the artists listed on the front and all that. The shouting man or music cop is a bonk wave motif! Bonk Knob Records - Not What I Call Bonk Wave - Volume 002 (Disc B)

A compilation of Electronic Music which is or is not #BonkWave only this time it's night time. I’m sure you remember the Bonk Wave compilation in August. It was fun stuff, people seemed to enjoy it, and a few musicians expressed interest in being involved on a second one, so Yoni Den setup an Open submission, with a simple brief “original music which is or is not bonkwave” and gave the project the subtitle “Bonkwave Nights” as a kind of suggestion of theme. The whole Bonk Wave thing originated on Mastodon , and that is where most of the posting and conversation is, but it does stretch out into a few other independent music communities like Lines and STBB Forever .
