Inspired by the raw spirit of underground hip hop and the soulful legacy of the culture’s greatest producers, Oakland, California producer J Sand (DJ Too Thru) presents Beat Disciple Vol. 1—2 the first installment in a deeply personal instrumental series dedicated to the architects of true hip hop sound.

A disciple of legends like J Dilla, Madlib, Pete Rock, and Karriem Riggins, J Sands channels dusty soul chops, imperfect rhythm, jazz textures, and heartfelt emotion into a project created under pressure, pain, and perseverance.

Made during serious personal struggles, Beat Disciple Vol. 1-2 captures the sound of resilience through rhythm. Every beat feels like therapy — unpolished in the right ways, honest, human, and rooted in the essence of hip hop craftsmanship.
