Sean Price & Small Professor - 86 Witness INSTRUMENTALS


With chemistry strengthened by top-tier craftsmanship and polished creativity, Sean Price (RIP) and Small Professor's collaborative album 86 Witness is a nod to two old souls from different eras finding common ground deep-rooted in their love for Hip-Hop.

The joint album, which dropped of February 12 of this year as a dual-label release in partnership between Coalmine Records and Duck Down Music, doubles as an opportunity to both carry the legacy of the late Sean Price forward through his music and pay homage to those who laid a foundation integral to the cultural landscape of Hip-Hop today. In the spirit of honoring the high standard set by the album's co-creators, Philly producer Small Professor is pleased to unleash the album’s instrumentals.

Producer Yoni Den shares the release "Not What I Call Bonk Wave Volume 001" by Bonk Knob Records . So the compilation was based around this idea of making music which is or isn’t bonk wave, and the whole thing is very vague, nobody knows what is bonk wave or what is not, so every artist just makes music! Haha! It’s been a really fun project. The name of the compilation also pays homage to those old cheap pop compilations “Now That’s What I Call Music” , and the artwork is inspired by some of the early cover art from those, with the artists listed on the front and all that. Bonk Knob Records - Not What I Call Bonk Wave - Volume 002 (Disc B)

A compilation of Electronic Music which is or is not #BonkWave only this time it's night time. I’m sure you remember the Bonk Wave compilation in August. It was fun stuff, people seemed to enjoy it, and a few musicians expressed interest in being involved on a second one, so Yoni Den setup an Open submission, with a simple brief “original music which is or is not bonkwave” and gave the project the subtitle “Bonkwave Nights” as a kind of suggestion of theme. The whole Bonk Wave thing originated on Mastodon , and that is where most of the posting and conversation is, but it does stretch out into a few other independent music communities like Lines and STBB Forever .
