It's finally here! Beatsofreen 's long awaited Dimensions EP has been released today. The project is now available on Darker Than Wax ' official Bandcamp page, iTunes | Spotify | Beatport and RDIO . A few words from Darker Than Wax about the Dimensions EP : "The process engaged different sides of him as a well-rounded artist – growing as his music developed from straight Dilla-minded beats to more electronic songs. He approached this first as a musician, and then a producer – working with less samples and recording live acoustic instruments – something which has always been part of work for film and radio but was never included in personal production own music, until this project. While creating this EP had the intention of an electronic influence, it is balanced off by an earthy jazz element – he began to delve more into the acoustic-folk sound and songwriting."  ***Thanks to Beatsofreen Music for sending*** Tracklist 1. Join us in saying "Happy Third Anniversary" to the Jazz Jousters collective as they reach three years of Jousting. With over 40 albums since the collective first started out in June 2012 , the Jazz Jouster s have most definitely grown into one of the most consistent collectives around at the moment as they continue to refine their skills in our lab off sessions. Of course we celebrated the occasion by putting our usual lab sessions on hold to make another official album in the form of our 16 track LP entitled 'Third Pass' . The album features... Mr. Moods , Stay Classy , Es-K , Bones The Beat Head , SmokedBeat , Vinkate , Slone , Pawcut , Oldy Clap Recordz , Combine Vibes , Gadget , Scaley WaleZ , Blue Buttonz , DJ Mentos , Dr MaD and Joe Davies . Gimmie That Beat has the pleasure to introduce you to one of the most talented duos based in the Paris, France called Chat Noir , which are producers Odweeyne & Gorilla Glock . It's time to get to know Chat Noir . Your Favorite 5 Producers: Odweeyne - There are alot of producers I listen too who have influenced me by their way of working are: Lord Finesse, T-Ray, Easy Mo Bee, Buckwild, Da Beatminerz, DJ Muggs, Nick Wiz, Madlib & Ray West for the way they flip their samples. Also in France, I've been influenced by DJ Detonateur (Producer for French group NTM on the 2 first albums) and DJ Max. Gorilla Glock - I don't have a favorite producer, it's more how they work on tracks and LPs, the way they flip the sample or create the music, the new perspective they are bringing to the table, like Da Beatminerz (with the 1st Black Moon album), RZA (with the 1st Wu-Tang album), Quincy Jones or Prince in their field of expertise, but also EL-P with Company F...
